Thank you for your interest in joining our school-year-long musical theatre education program, the Rising Rockets Academy. Classes will take place on Mondays beginning August 17, 2026 and run all school year (with breaks for holidays and spring break). The academy learning will culminate in a full production musical in late spring (dates vary by age group). The following productions are slotted by age group:
Elementary: Annie Kids, performances May 7 & 8, 2027
Middle School: Mean Girls Jr., performances May 29 & 30, 2027
High School: A Chorus Line Teen, performances June 18 & 19, 2027
Class Schedules
All classes and rehearsals will take place on Mondays, will potential extra rehearsals added in the spring when shows get closer.
Fall Semester runs from Aug. 17 through Dec. 14, with no class the week of Nov. 23.
Spring Semester runs from Jan. 11 (2027) through the show dates listed above, with no class the week of March 15.
All classes will be held in Satellite Beach at the following times:
K-2 students: 3:30 to 4:15 p.m.
Grade 3-5 students: 4:30 to 5:30
Middle school students (6 to 8): 5:30 to 6:30
High school students: 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The Cost
The cost for the program, which includes all materials, is $550 per semester. Payments can be made monthly at $110 per month, or in a lump sum of $500 by the first class for a $50 discount. Those wishing to pay for the entire 10-month program upfront will receive a $100 discount and pay only $1000 for the school year.
We may ask students to bring some costume items from home, or buy base costume pieces like tights, shorts or jazz shoes. We are always willing to help find these items if it is a hardship or hassle, however.
Curriculum
Our curriculum has been written custom for our program and each age group, with specific skill sets as the end goal. The classes have four main instructors that are trained in vocal performance, acting, musical theatre dance and improvisation. We also plan to have guest master teachers and workshops to enhance the experience for every student.
Auditioning for Rising Rockets
We are requiring a group audition to be chosen for this program. Those take place on July 25 and July 27, 2026 (choose one) and students will be notified of their inclusion no later than August 1. We will host a parent meeting on Zoom sometime the week of July 20th with a PDF with more information on our curriculum, the cost and more. For the auditions: All students should bring one minute of a song to sing for the directors, and be prepared to learn a dance combination on site. We will also play some theatre games and get to know each other a bit. Directors will look for skill level, alongside attitude, behavior and ability to be coached. We want to elevate the experience for all performers and allow those who really want to learn the opportunity to do so.
